Applicants to DEUG must be holders of a secondary school certificate (baccalaureat or an equivalent diploma). For degrees, the corresponding DEUG is required. In mathematics, a special course to update knowledge before entering Licence is offered.

Services:
Courses are delivered using mainly printed matter, and tapes for language courses. Since October 1995, some courses and other pedagogical documents, mostly in science matters, can be downloaded using a computer (Macintosh or PC) from the telematic server of the CTEs, which holds information and mailings between tutors and students. Some courses in arts and literature are delivered on Audiosup, the telematic audio-network of the FIED.
Experimental work in physical and natural sciences takes place during special sessions at the University before examinations.

Registration:
Students wishing to enrol on a course are required to undergo both an administrative (for diploma delivery) and educational registration (to receive courses texts).

A special registration mode is available for students who do not wish to take a diploma and choose to build their own courses.
